He has also been named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 2013. For his actions off the field, Manning was honored as the recipient of the Byron “Whizzer” White Humanitarian Award and the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2005 as well as the Bart Starr Award in 2015. Manning serves as a member of the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet and The Pat Summit Foundation Advisory Board. He and his wife, Ashley, established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. The PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million of impact to at-risk youth through its grants and programs since its inception. Manning continues to maintain a strong relationship with St. Vincent’s Children’s Hospital (Indianapolis), which in 2007 was renamed the “Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.” Join this exciting keynote where Peyton takes on an interview-style discussion on what it’s like to lead a team in crisis and in championship.

Operational Visibility in a U.S. Refinery (HSC)

HollyFrontier and Rolta have partnered to deliver operations dashboards on a unit and refinery level for two of its five refineries this year.  These dashboards will be used by various refining personnel from engineers to shift supervisors to ensure that critical and integrity operating limits are clearly visible compared to real time operational data.  Come learn how this project was delivered and what value has been realized as a result of vastly improved operations visibility.

CIO Panel: Connecting the Dots for Business Leaders: CIO’s as the Secret Weapon to a Competitive Edge

Moderated by: Peter Maier - General Manager Energy & Natural Resources Industries, SAP SE The oil and gas CIO of 2016 must be far more than a technology leader of years past.  As each business process is examined through a ‘Digital Lens’, the CIO becomes more relevant and connected to each business unit. The CIO has the opportunity, and some even say the CIO has a fiduciary duty, to act as the renaissance leader for the business.  The CIO is a key, if not the primary key, to making change in a connected, digitized world. Join CIO’s Nellson Burns of HollyFrontier Corporation and Ben Williams of Devon Energy Corporation as they debate and discuss their perspective on the CIO as the renaissance leader for the digital enterprise and digital millennium. Moderated by Peter Maier of SAP SE, key topics they will discuss will include:

  • Why data analytics represents the largest change to all of our jobs and lives, and how a CIO and CEO should react
  • What scares a CIO about data analytics and why
  • Utilizing automation and data from automation to improve efficiency and better leverage capital
  • Seizing the business and shareholder opportunities of digital transformation in little and big ways – how big is the prize?
  • Enabling success through the art (or is it the science?) of prediction using ‘Big Data’
  • Why “all companies have to become software and data repository businesses to remain competitive”

The Next 100 Years: a Forecast of the Challenges Facing the 21st Century World

No industry is more affected by global affairs than the oil and gas industry. From embargoes to activism to warfare - the costs, complexities and dangers of operating in the field can all vary significantly based on current events. Join George Friedman – an internationally-recognized geopolitical forecaster and strategist on international affairs – who has dedicated his life’s work to explaining and forecasting the course of global events. Drawing on an exploration of history and geopolitical patterns dating back hundreds of years, Friedman explains where and why future wars will erupt (and how they will be fought), which nations will gain and lose economic and political power, and how new technologies and cultural trends will alter the way we will live in the new century. Friedman’s best-selling books include The Next 100 Years (2009), Flashpoints: The Emerging Crisis in Europe, The Next Decade, America’s Secret War, The Future of War and The Intelligence Edge. His books have been translated into over 20 languages.

Safely Navigating the Digital Energy Revolution

There is little debate that the oil and gas industry has been challenged over the last couple of years. The confluence of well publicized revolutions within both energy and digital have resulted in a Digital Energy Revolution. The key questions now have less to do with understanding of what is changing, but rather how best to navigate them. In this keynote, learn about the collaboration SAP has had within its user communities and partners to make this journey safer across the full lifecycle of this needed transformation. Innovations that span product, delivery and support, with a focus on helping each oil and gas customer realize the full value and promise of their planned digital transformations. This will include an update on SAP’s innovations within a digital boardroom that provides the live cockpit needed to drive one’s business in today’s rapidly expanding and accelerating digital economy. Our innovations on the delivery and support tools and services, and our customers and partners experiences with their use will be shared. This will include details and case studies from the expanded co-innovation and delivery program with Accenture, whom is taking a leading role with SAP to drive these needed innovations. You will leave this keynote with not only the vision of how the emerging digital energy network will transform business models, processes and ways of working, but you will also with practical next steps to safely navigate this journey.

You’ve Been Hacked: How to Protect Company, Employees & Shareholders

What’s more important than protecting your sensitive employee and customer information, your critical business strategies, and your corporate intellectual property. Nothing! In the literal blink of an eye, malicious insiders and cyber criminals can compromise the security of your company and destroy years of business success and corporate good will. Couple the dynamic cyber threat landscape with the financial exposure and risks resulting from your data falling into the wrong hands and you’ve identified the most critical issue facing your company today. Join international cybersecurity expert Mark Weatherford for a keynote address you will never forget - and your business can’t afford to miss. Mark will discuss critical relationships between the public and private sectors, and highlight the many complexities surrounding the Internet of Things and the convergence of IT, OT, and physical security. Finally, Mark will propose that your path to the Cloud is inevitable and how this technology shift is creating profound opportunities for you to develop a better organizational security posture. Survive to Thrive in the New Oil & Gas Normal

Today’s oil and natural gas industry is faced with many challenges, pressuring many companies to work smarter, understand how to ensure the right people are in the right roles, and find new ways to increase margins and preserve value – while retaining top talent and a strong culture to accelerate when the market conditions improve. As a leading-edge organization, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, has positioned itself to weather a difficult market environment and also emerge as a stronger enterprise. With a disciplined and focused approach to preserving and building value, CEO Al Walker is leading Anadarko’s efforts to reduce costs, enhance efficiencies and set the stage for future ‘growth when the time is right’. This includes a broad use of technology, data and analytics on one hand and an empowerment of employees and service providers on the other: two key components of success in any market. For Walker and the company’s leadership team, this means recognizing and rewarding the innovation and continuous improvement that will build value for stakeholders in the near term and position the company for long-term success. Join Al Walker, CEO of Anadarko, as he shares his perspectives on why you ‘can’t coach speed’, creating an organization that understands the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and finding the balance between surviving today’s business challenges and thriving in tomorrow’s new normal. Al Walker is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. He joined Anadarko in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, later serving as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Anadarko, he worked in the oil and natural gas industry, investment and commercial banking and as an institutional investor.
