If anyone knows about leading a team, it’s legendary quarterback Peyton Manning. The NFL’s only five-time Most Valuable Player and a 14-time Pro Bowl selection, Peyton has earned his place among the greatest quarterbacks in league history. During his NFL career, Peyton led the Colts franchise to its first World Championship in 36 years during the 2006 season, earning MVP honors in the Colts’ 29-17 win over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI. This past season, he led the Denver Broncos to a 24-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50, making him the first starting quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different teams. He has also been named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated in 2013. For his actions off the field, Manning was honored as the recipient of the Byron “Whizzer” White Humanitarian Award and the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2005 as well as the Bart Starr Award in 2015. Manning serves as a member of the American Red Cross National Celebrity Cabinet and The Pat Summit Foundation Advisory Board. He and his wife, Ashley, established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. The PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million of impact to at-risk youth through its grants and programs since its inception. Landscape Migration to HANA: ECC & Legacy SQL Server Warehouse (P&T)

In less than 4 months’ time, Devon Energy was able to build, test, and implement Suite on HANA and deliver significant performance gains when compared to their legacy platform. For the legacy SQL Server Warehouse, Enterprise HANA will unlock near real-time access to data from both SAP and non-SAP sources. One of the main goals of this project, was to switch database technology without significantly impacting the user experience. Through a bit of trial and error and some technical hurdles, Devon developed a solution that offers tremendous performance improvements with little impact to the user. Join Lane Hale as he describes Devon’s new platform, and their ability to use the raw, real-time data to more quickly make decisions and drive performance.

Further, it reviewed the enhanced functionality provided by the product and analyzed a limited number of relevant Fiori Apps. The results showed greatly improved analytics, higher speed of transactions and reporting, and an enhanced user experience. Over 100 financial test cases successfully completed with no showstoppers identified.

Predicting the Future with Real Time Advanced Analytics (OI)

By combining advanced predictive analytics and real time data analysis, we are able to predict and avoid one of the most costly incident in the completions process. Preventing a screenout has been considered impossible as the deep analytics required is usually only available with a large volume of data after the incident has already happened. Leveraging deep analytics and large volumes of historical data captured during previous completions activities, we were able to build many advanced models with the ability to predict a screenout before it happened. We leverage advanced computation engines to apply the most effective model to the real time completions data during the completions process. These models are then able to classify significant flows of data and accurately access the risk of a screenout in real time and provide a current and accurate visualization to the completions team members. A cross functional group broke down barriers across IT, Analytics, Drilling and Completions, and Data Management to provide a solution to one of the most challenging, complex, and costly challenges in the completions process.

Understanding Risk & Simplifying Complex EHS Data, When Change is Constant (P&T, CSE)

Change in our industry involves increases or shifts in operational risks and associated exposure points. Near-constant change requires continuous risk management for Anadarko’s world-wide operations. Anadarko’s leadership has identified Environmental Performance as one of six key objectives for the business, along with Occupational Health & Personal Safety, and three other priorities. Foundational to our strategy is the standardization of the tools and systems on which the underlying business processes are enabled. Towards this we selected SAP’s suite of EHS/Sustainability solutions and have since designed and implemented SAP’s EHSM-Incident Management solution globally in order to provide a key foundational piece of the Operational Risk Management strategy. We have extending the standard functionality to capture and manage all EHS tasks ranging from HSE Audit Corrective Tasks to Environmental Impact Assessment Tasks.  Anadarko also developed a mobile observation application to obtain operational efficiencies.
